Zone 3 Lions Clubs Joint Instalation of Presidents and Board of Directors 2011-2012

On the 14th August 2011, our Club Key Officers (President - Leo Zu Jian, Secretary - Leo Wen Tzien and Treasurer - Leo Zhi Chew) together with Leo Tamer, Leo Dolly Wong had represented LEO SM Tanah Putih to the Zone 3 Lions Clubs Joint Installation of Presidents and Board of Directors 2011-2012. The principal speakers of this event was District Governor 308-B1, DG Ln. Dr. Ben. Ng. A number of Cabinet Key Officers and Lions also attended this auspicious event.
District Governor also presented the District Pin to the Leo Club Presidents of LEO SM Tanah Putih, SMK Air Putih and SMK Cenderawasih. The other directors also get the pin from him.

Leos had taken several photos with Lions, Presiding Officer-Ln. Karen Nah (LC of Kuantan), Lion Cabinet Officers and DCs.
We have a great dinner on that evening.

Visitation to Old Folks Home of TiongHua Association Kuantan

30 Leos and our Faculty Adviser, Pn. Siti had participated in the 'Visitation to Old Folks Home of TiongHua Association Kuantan'.
We took bus there. We brought washing detergents, biscuits, sweets went there for a visit.
Meanwhile, we also did cleaning the compound area of the Old Folks Home.

Later then, we have entertainments such as singing and dancing. We have lots fun there.
We distributed the biscuits and sweets to the Old Folks before we leave there. A press reporter from Sin Chew Daily had came and reported our project. The news was in Sin Chew Daily, East Coast Edition, 14th August 2011.

Leo National Day Quiz 2011

On the 12th of August, the Leo Club had organized the Leo National Day Quiz 2011. The quiz started at 12.30pm on that day. 35 Leo Members had participated in this competition.

The result of winners will be announced next week.
Three winners will be selected based on the number of questions correct and the creativity of slogan created.

The winners will be awarded:-
1st Prize: Stationary worth RM15.00 sponsored by Men Men Bookstore + Certificate
2nd Prize: Stationary worth RM10.00 sponsored by Men Men Bookstore + Certificate
3rd Prize: Stationary worth RM5.00 sponsored by Men Men Bookstore + Certificate

Lion PS Wong had helped us to rent a bus to Leo Forum. Since it is rented, so we need to pay more but it is more safer than boarding an express bus and transfer to leo forum by shuttle bus.
Please pay RM85.00 for the bus fare (thru and back) when you board the bus.
We will depart on the 28th May 2011 3.00am.

Attended 40th Anniversary Charity Dinner by Lions Club of Kuantan

On the 19th of March 2011, the LEO Club of SM Tanah Putih, Kuantan had sent 3 representatives to attend and lend helping hands to the 40th Anniversary Charity Dinner of Lions Club of Kuantan. LEO Tan Kai Hong (President), LEO Sham Ying Ying (1st Vice President) and LEO Sham Wei Wei (Director) had represent our club to attend this auspicious and meaningful event.

Our LEOs did helped Lions to arrange the bannerette for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. They enjoyed themselves very much in this event with the performances. LEO SMTP also sent a LEO representative, LEO Wong Lih Ruh to perform in this event. Many Lions from different clubs did attend this meaningful event too.
Last but not least, Happy 40th Anniversary to Lions Club of Kuantan!

Venue Arranging for PIBG General Meeting of SMKTP

Objectives : To arrange tables and chairs for the venue of PIBG General Meeting
of SMKTP.

The LEO Club of SM Tanah Putih, Kuantan had lent helping hands to the school in arranging the chairs and tables for the venue of PIBG General Meeting of SMKTP. We did our works and tasks instructed by the teacher-in-charge on the 26th March 2011 right after the decorating and renovating session of LEO Garden.
9 LEOs were helped out in arranging the venue for the general meeting. We did tasks such as carrying and arranging the tables and chairs. We did our tasks within an hour.
